Is Sabertooth from X-men origins the same as the Sabertooth from the first X-men movie?

It doesn’t seem like they are. In the first movie Sabertooth never says a word to Wolverine. Doesn’t seem to recognize him either. So are they supposed to be unrelated in any way?
